Nolathane has finally listened. F+R new sway bars, solid 35 mm. Much better than any 1 3/8" hollow bars, like Hellwig, Hotchkis and QA 1.
Finally, a set that ignores the OEM understeer inclined delta with the same diameter and construction F+R.

Australian company, front available now, rear soon to follow. I've been harassing them for exactly this for too long.

It has been decades since a 1 3/8" solid front bar has been available new. With the Pro-Touring F body Sway Bar Brace
75-81 2CF-842 $109.00
also fits 78-96 impala

it is every bit as roll resistant as a 1 7/16" solid would be if it ever existed.

Ohh that is nice, but it is pricey since the cost of the front by itself is just as much as the BMR front and rear bars put together

Would they be willing to look into DMR style triangulation braces, seems like DMR isn't producing any more sedan variants the last time I messaged them and it's pretty much unobtanium now.

Just talked to Dick and he promises he'll have your products available first of the year. #5029 and all others.
He says he's drowning in the braces for the wagons. Discounts available for those. BIG group discounts.

Which will give your car OVERSTEER at a bargain price.

However:

I'll be talking to Nolathane the first of December.
Maybe you could arrange a group purchase?

I'm definitely interested in the DMR braces and I know there's a few interested in them also so that's good to hear.

As for the bar, just spent a bit too much this year so slowing it down but it's on the radar at some point in time just not in the immediate future right now

If you still have the 1 1/4" solid on the front, try any 1 1/4" solid on the rear (maybe someone will give you one) or any 1 3/8" hollow on the rear. Your car will thank you for it with improved performance.
Even the 9C1 rear bar would improve it, or FE1 bar front and 9C1 rear. 1 1/4" solid front = 1 3/8" hollow rear in roll resistance.

I threw on a stock rear bar with the 1 1/4 solid bar on the front just to test if that was the direction I wanted to go in since a few have mentioned it gives you the ability to power out a lot earlier with the sacrifice of some turn in. However all of those guys run some variation of a bucket seat that can hold them in or harness.

Andwith my application which is a fairly short autocross course I found the body roll too much with the stock seats with 750s and 1 1/4 bar up front. I enjoy the setup I have right now since it doesn't throw me around and has a very predictable driving experience with it.

and yes i know the stock bar is smaller than the mentioned 1 1/4 rear however but I wasn't spending a few 100 bucks to find out if I liked it or not.

So as of now unless I start doing longer / faster road courses where I don't need as much turn in I'm running this for now because I have a lot to improve on the driver mod side of things.

Really there's a bunch of setups I would like to try out but budget is the limiting factor 😫

Regardless it is fun.

Just like Porsche was fun back then. Only really hateful hangover was GM prohibited any new cars after that with a neutral chassis, they all had to understeer, a lot.

If some company were to decide to bring out a new version of the Herb Adams front bar with double spherical rod ends instead of end-links and bushings, that would be newsworthy. Anything continuing to use end-links and bushings is second rate by comparison.

Oh, that's good, but it's expensive given that the front bar alone is the same as the combined cost of the BMR front and back bars.

The last time I messaged them, it seemed like DMR wasn't making any more sedan variations, and it's pretty much impossible to find anymore. Would they be prepared to look into DMR-style triangulation braces?

Funny how few people ever mention the brakes on the Corvair.
Great!
Nothing special in brake parts, all weight distribution.
Nothing special at all, and exactly the same as on any other Chevy. Except I noticed they'd stuck the fronts on the back. And the backs on the front. Mind-blowing for a young kid.

I drove the 64 Corvair for years,it was one of the fastest stopping best handling cars in America at that time...it was FUN!
All mine were the IRS gen. And yep, there's been nothing ever more actual 'funner' to just drive around than my 140horse 4sp.. Not even the '69 C3 base 350 4sp. several years later.
