My digital gauges are faded all the way out. It started off gradually and intermittently and now are completely gone. I noticed a sticky for cluster repair. This sticky won't open for me. Is this the kind of problem that it addressed? Can anyone help me on this one? Thanks in advance.

Hi! The sticky won't open forme either, this problem is a known one and is pretty common.
For the 94-95 Impala SS and 94-96 Caprice:
Most often the digital module is at fault and it cannot be fixed.
it needs replaced. easy job, don't even have to remove the cluster. Remove bezel, glass, cluster overlay panel and digital module (4 screws).
Second most common the power supply board for the digital module is bad. it's right underneath the digital module, to replace you have to take the cluster out and use soldering iron. 7 pins are holding it up on the printboard.

Sometimes just resoldering these pins helps. electrcal connections can go bad over time.

if you need the digital module I have several for $55 + $7 S&H.
let me know what your milege is to find the closest match.

For the 96 impala SS: there are three resistors on the back of the printboard, when they go ododmeter goes too. Replacing the resistors is the fix.

Good luck!

I'm looking at a 95 Impala SS that's forsale. The Cluster is DEAD.....No Speedo, No Odo....The owner "SAYS" that it does come and go, and it's "SOMEWHERE between 80k and 90k....

Does the computer "KNOW" how many miles are on the car?? Or is that in the cluster?

IS there a fix that will restore everything, WITH the correct milage?

It REALLY SUCKS that the "STICKY" for this is dead....
