Got back on vacation and the Speedo doesnt work.Drivability seems not affected. Im thinking VSS..Anybody know if the 4L60 uses a speedo cable?.Any ideas?I want to have the part on hand before I raise it up.

No Cable on those. Could be the VSS. If it turns out to be the instrument cluster itself I have a spare I just pulled out of my 91 sedan. Let me know.

Yes it's analog. Out of a 91 Caprice Classic Sedan (civilian).

Where are you located? you could try it if you want to, but I suspect it's the Speed sensor or wiring issue.

I also have a FSM for my 92 Wagon, it has some diagnostic flow charts for the speedo. A code 24 in the ECM indicates a VSS problem.

I might also have a spare speed sensor you could try but I don't really want to sell it.

Im in Mississauga.Want to pm me the price for the speedo?I forgot the voltage or resistance I should watch out for.Thanks for your help
