Dear ISSCA Members,

Please allow me to introduce myself, my name is Jim Gross. I have been serving as Region 8 (Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky) director for ISSCA since last fall. I am proud to say I was recently appointed as ISSCA Secretary and ISSCA SScene Editor, filling a vacant position. The unforeseen vacancy and associated delay in getting the latest SScene completed on time will now change. I am working hard to bring you not only a new SScene but the results of the 2011 ISSCA Nationals hosted by MISSL. This special issue will also provide many pictures of Nats as well as the legendary Woodward Dream Cruise. It was a HUGE success and all who attended had a great time. Due to time constraints, I will be combining the special Nats issue with the latest upcoming issue. Basically, I’m going to make a big SScene! 

As I begin this new adventure, I look forward to working with the various members and clubs that make up this wonderful community. As individual clubs and members hold your events throughout the future, please make sure to take a lot of pictures and submit them to me and I will be sure to get them into the SScene.

Here’s the important part: If you have any tech, mod or "how to" information that would benefit the community, or any other pertinent B-Body related info, or just some cool pics of your ride, please feel free to share with me. Don’t forget to do a quick write up on your ride as well. Remember, this publication is for YOUR Impala SS / B-Body community. I welcome any input, assistance, suggestions, or resources that any of you can provide. We are all a bunch of volunteers with a united love of the B-Body cars and anyone who would like to help or contribute is welcome to step forward. Submissions for The SScene can be made by contacting me through the ISSCA website at www.issca.org.

Looking forward to working with all of you!

Jim

Thanx Jim.
I sent Pat an email a couple weeks ago in regards to an event that Cali-SS will be attending in support to the American Troops come Memorial day. If this event goes through, I will be happy to work with you and the scene.

Dave -
Thanks Dave.

If you can get me stuff from events like this, I can add that also. I appreciate your help.

Jim
Jim;
Looking forward to you doing a great job!

Everyone;
Please submit photo's, stories, mod day pics, adventures, MIS-adventures, etc to Jim.

BK
Sending this out to all the B-Body folks I know.
Jim,

Feel free to steal anything from my car clubs website. I've been their webmaster for 2 years now and anytime I come across a good install guide, fix, or other good information, I steal it and re-host it here as they didn't have anything technical info before. Spent a lot of time on this and I try to share it with everyone and I update at least once a month with new guides and info -->http://www.grail-ss.com/TechDocuments.htm

Websites come and go, forums crash, etc... Whenever I grab an articles with pictures I always save the images and rehost (So the page won't have Red X's from the images being removed from the original site.)

There is also another section on the site that I have been working on called "Our Cars" basically a short story about our club member's car and a couple of pictures. Direct link --> http://www.grail-ss.com/Our%20Cars.htm sounds exactly like what you are looking for.

Congrats on your promotion and if I can help in any way let me know!

~Ryan
Thanks Ryan. I will look it over.

Hi Jim, congrats on the appointment. Sounds like you have great plans in store for SScene!

Question - I'm a new member, just paid my ISSCA dues within the last week. Am I correct in assuming the required password to access SScene will arrive in the mail with my welcome packet? Looking forward to reading SScene :) Thanks - Brian
Hi Brian,

Yes, you should get the password with your information. If you don't, contact one of us and we will get it to you.

Jim
Hello, Fellow ISSCA Members!

If you are not yet a member of ISSCA, please consider joining. This is one of the benefits of membership. Thanks to all who contributed to the SScene in one form or another!

Don,
Fantastic job.You captured each event nicely!Well laid out and many pictures is always a plus!

Only thing that would have been nice to see, is a finishing/place list included,from each of the ISSCA Nats individual categories. Otherwise,excellent job. Looking forward to August. Jim
Nice job!
