Was anybody else at the St. Louis show in 1995 SS street under 50k show class? Or how about over 50k?
I couldn't believe there wasn't 3 cars in my class (per ISSCA rules :( ) Where did all the 95's go??
Also if anyone was "combined" with another class to make a class, were you asked if you wanted to move up or down a class "as per ISSCA rules"?? This a quote from the adopted rules " The owner will have the choice of up or down in classes". I wasn't asked. Anybody else??? If you want to use the rules then USE the rules. Comments are welcomed ;)

I wasn't in the 95 class, but was in the 96 stock, over 50K class. We were combined with the 96 stock, under 50K class and didn't find out about it until the trophy presentation. If asked I would've preferred to be moved up to the next higher class that also had over 50K. I just think it's hard to compete with someone that has under 50K when your over 50K. Especially when you're way over like 105,000. The chips, dings, and other things you get while driving your car daily are just not going to be there on a under 50K mile vehicle. At least they shouldn't. I think the new rules are going to need a little tweaking. I did have a great time and the GRAIL gang did a tremendous job. This is the first year with the new rules and we have to express ourselves to change what we don't agree with right? After all they say ISSCA is for the people and by the people. CORRECT :confused:

Well, I was in 96 modified over 50K with about a bazillion other cars (many that were much moreso "show" cars than mine), so no chance that I was in a combined class :D.

But Fred, you're right. If you got combined, you should have been asked if you wanted to move up or down (and take a points penalty if moved down for your mods "over" the class limit) in classes.

I'm guessing the show results will be published soon?

the mod classes are so stupid... I have like 40 mods but few of them are for show.. its not like I sit there and chrome plate everything... my car is basically stripped of everything that makes it really stand out and that in itself makes it stand out =) not to mention the suncoast hood and the lg spoiler =P

Maybe it would be better to class it on appearance mods rather than mod mods... does a HO swaybar make a car more visually appealing? Nope... nor does a nice flashy new fuel injector... or even a set of black satin Tri-Y headers... although they do look better than stock... the most important thing is how clean the car is not how many mods does it have

Its not like it really matters... there were only 4 94s anyway =/

Ive got a great idea!! at the next event everyone put your internet names on your cars instead of you #'s. I think I know who bbbone stock is. he had it on hes rear windows. anyway, lets make life easier at teh next event IMO. see ya!!!

Yeah, my numbers on the rear window were 50. I also was one of two I think that hit the grass in the road coarse. It was still a blast.

lol I had my number on a piece of paper cause I hated to put frickin shoe polish on my window (case and point: Car that got vandalized saturday night)

It looked stupid, other impalas in the area made mine look rather inadiquate... so I took it down

Speaking of the vandalized car, did anyone ever come forward? I overheard somebody say they wrote on the windows and got in a truck and left..?

What was that all about? I heard them talking about the incident during the awards presentation but did not hear the dtails. I also heard that a radar detector was stolen out of one of the Impalas during Tully's burnout.....I was hpong it was just misplaced. I cant see our group doing these things.
