I can use your help! Please send me links to good threads!

DRIP TRAY FIX
Stock B-bodies have a rubber elbow on the outlet of the drain at the firewall in the engine bay. This often comes off and disappears over time; water will wick its way back into the cabin. Put a length of clear hose on the output and then ziptie it to the brakeline to direct water off the frame and onto the ground.

COOLANT
Should I use Dex-Cool? Is Dexcool now different than when GM introduced it? Why did people hate it?

NO HEAT!

RESTRICTOR AND TEE are prone to catastrophic failure due to fatigue. Replace yours at next cooling system service or upgrade:
Brass fittings from home improvement or plumbing store.
original parts with numbers.

COOLANT CHOICES
Dexcool or not?

HOW TO BLEED YOUR COOLANT
Park uphill, use the bleeder screw on top of the thermostat housing, keep the cap ON so the system pressurizes.

THERMOSTAT
Stock temperature is 180F for the LT1. It is a dual-action thermostat; cannot use a standard 350 V8 thermostat. Comes with a rubber ring seal around the perimeter. Some pumps / thermostat necks will not seal stock and require RTV.

PRESSURE CAP
Stock is 15psi. If yours does not hold 15psi, replace it.

EXPANSION TANK
How to clean expansion tank - use sand or muriatic acid or crushed ice.

THROTTLE BODY HEATER HOSE MOD
Bypass the throttle body and connect the radiator hose directly to the steam pipe running in the intake valley. This is often done because of leaks that develop in the throttle body plate after repairs.
