Ok, this is kind of goofy... but I need to know the specs on the stock front and rear speakers from a '95 SS...(max/rms wattage, load, etc).

I've got this 30 yr old beater with a radio old enough to drink and -one- speaker in the center of the dash... It's not worth investing a bunch of $ in a good system for the car as infrequently as I drive it, but I was thinking since I had the stock speakers from my SS somewhere in my attic I might could find a place to mount them in this thing, buy a decent MP3/CD head unit, and for under $200 at least have something better than state-of-the-art for 1972...

W/o going into too many unnecessary details, you can hook up you Imp speakers to any reasonably current (if it has a CD it is definitely current enough) deck.

Speaker/power specs are so subjectve/bogus that they can practically be ignored. A decent high power CD deck will be a good match for your factory speakers in a budget situation.

Worst case scenario, you might blow your speakers if you crank it too much, it will sound like crap before this happens though so use your head and no probs.

FYI the most important spec is to make sure that the speaker impedence is at least as high as the min impedence spec for your amp. Both will be 4 ohms in this case.

Later,
Aaron
