lol, were aiming for more then just 450 dan!!! the turbo is rated to about 620fwhp so were gonna push it as much as we can, hopefully 550 at the wheels. just trying to source out a good trans and some bigger injectors.

the interior is all apart as were swapping in the ss interior, as soon as its finished and the rain stops will post up another vid or two.

WOW! I thought i subscribed to this thread. I guess not as I have missed quite a bit. So how is everything working out Roy? You certainly didn't waste anytime pulling the stock engine and tranny. i just wish you had done that before we did the kit so we could have pushed the boost and shown everyone what a single rear mount turbo system is really capable of. :)

For those subscribed and those specifically waiting for a progress report on the twin, rear mount kit, we are working on a custom version right now. The air filters will be located in the trunk. Down-pipes will route under the axle, to the stock resonator location and out the back. It will look like a dual 3" exhaust from behind. :) we are going to try and make this kit work with our 2" primary "Pro Series" headers. When this project is finish i will start a new thread.

Dan,

Do you plan on marketing the single STS turbo or just doing the twin turbo?

The single has been available for quite awhile now:
http://www.clearimageautomotive.com/STS Impala single turbo kit.htm

There are many choices based on your taste and goals.

Send me an email with your specific goals, the type of activity your car is used for, choice of stainless tubing or aluminized tubing, etc, etc. I can make some suggestions and send you a quote.

Thanks for your interest.

Thanks! Also Dan I think it was a good idea to do a base on the stock combo to show people what it can do on a stock motor. Now we will see what it does on a 383. For mods the cam is the cc305, heads are fully ported afr 190s with port matched intake, bbk 58mm tb, 1.6rr.

I do think were gonna max out the single with this combo and the twin set up will be needed. But that will be the fall/winter project.

Nice job.

As for the boost tubing. Here's the deal, the twin turbo tubing is set-up to work with small turbo's smaller flanges, etc. There is also a difference in the way the turbo's hang under the car as compared to the larger, single turbo you have. We will be able to get you close but you going to have to do some custom fitting/welding on your end to get the exhaust to match up to the large turbo's you want to use. Keep me posted.

Also, yeah, it will be nice to show people what the same turbo kit does ona bone stock car with 5 psi and a built motor with 15 psi. i don't think many people understand the HUGE difference there is with 10 psi on a motor built to handle it.
