Dom,
It doesn't take a lot to get bumped from stock to street at super chevy(window tint will do it), but street to Modified is a bigger jump. Usually a blower, airbags/hydro's, or paint work. I was in Modified at Pomona due to my paint (obviously), but if the car is mildly lowered, no serious paint changes, and doesnt have a blower, it stays in street.

I think Dave's car is far from street, just by the engine bay alone.
If his car could beat out Chris Gibon's car at a show no street car will ever have a chance,Glad I'm not in that class.

Dom,

If you read in the super chevy rules you can 3 interior mods and the enigne bay will not be limited to any bright items. as eric said supercharger turbo custom paint (like erics and air brushing of emblems etc..) custom interior, molding of bumpers and trim etc.. those all bump to modified. I built my car around these rules and have been very successful and i wil be back with more in 2002. Now i can even repaint my car any stock gm color and still be in street as long as there is no peral candy or metal flake in the paint.. At scs Las vegas there was an impala painted silver and the paint was ok and he was in street. so Anyhow hope that helps. Heck even airbags wont ove you to modified as the suspension does not count at SCS. Yes i have beaten many cars including chris g cars once but my engine bay does not put me up to modified, i would still need to do some more stuff to get to modified. Thats why a while back i was asked by a certain club to stay home so someone else could win. So thats the way it is later.

Well I had fun even though all I got was a T-shirt... (jk) They had some cool pics if you raced on Sat. I made it to the 2nd round and got eliminated. Got a .521 RT but was .1 off on my dial in thanks to a 6 hour wait for my 2nd run. I only lost by .02 but that's bracket racing. First run I got a terrible RT of .671 but was only .01 off my dial in.

Updated my sig too.... Myself and another guy from AZ from the show got pulled over with another car for doing 20 over on the way back. Not to mention the fact that the other guy's Impala was hit by another car in the show that mysteriously rolled over and hit his in the front end scratching his bumper. He did not have as much fun as he could have. But at least both of us can take "the class" to keep the points from our licenses.
Gotta lova AZ
Have fun guys!

Dave-good luck in your class(not that you would need it)I hope you stay in that class also :D
That was a silver caprice not Impala by the way.
Mike-Sorry to hear about your ticket,How can a cop pull over 3 cars at the same time?
We flew by one on the way home that was issuing a ticket,I hammered it for 10 miles to put a distance between us.
