Less than 3 months until the kickass ISSCA Nationals being held in Indy this year from July 3 - July 7th 2006.
Road race your car - show off your car - autocross your car - drag race your car - show off your cars audio system - it's all an incredibly fun time, you just need to go once to get hooked.
Even the people that just came to watch got caught up in the fever of competing in certain events. It's a little bit like B-Body heaven.

A lot of East Coast members will probably miss out - it will keep me from going just as it has in the past. It's a great place to go but to pull the whole family out who supports my hobby but NOT at the expense of the yearly family vacation. Not saying there aren't any women that love the SS etc and are really into it like the testosterone junkies but the reality is it is like our wives pulling us (the family) out for a week of a national stamping party (yes, crafting cards etc with rubber stamps that cost $25 each).Originally posted by -Thump-:

I noticed not many from Cali etc came out to the Pocono's. Not many from the East Coast went to Vegas (people on the East Coast complained it was out west, hence Poconos). Now it is in Indiana, a "better" middle ground and I know many on the East Coast are going and noticed 'more' West Coast guys are coming to IN. Bottom line, we are really talking real estate and everyone knows the 1st three rules of real estate is LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION.
That's what we're doing too. What a way to get the adrenaline primed b/f we jump into our 'hopped up' racers!

BIG QUESTION: Will there be babysitting services during the road course and autocross events? I think that would be nice for those spouses that really want to watch - maybe a couple teenagers can get together to pick up some cash. Just a thought... [/QB][/QUOTE]
SSONIC and I have two teenagers (14,17) that babysit all the time and will be at the Nationals. They are always eager to earn cash and they will already be watching our third daughter that is five for us. They can watch the kids at the events or at the hotel.
