I was changing my sway bar bushings and managed to strip the threads on the frame on the passenger side.

The threads stripped because on that side of the frame there are three big holes that allow water to get in. The frame is not properly drained there.

Fortunatelly I was able to get in there and put in a washer and lock bolt to bolt up the clamp.

Does any know why those holes are there on the passenger side of the frame?

Thanks,
Ernest

Basically, to access other bolts in the frame. For instance, the ones you point out (at least 1-2 of them) are to get to the bolts that hold the idler arm to the right frame rail.
