Yeah I know, I’m sure I could search and find some info. :D But,that wouldn't be as much fun!

I recently swapped out my Hotchkis lower rear control arms for Global West control arms. The car went from being near neutral (a little understeer) to a noticeable oversteer situation. I was amazed at the different a set of lower control arms can make. It was pretty dramatic. As is all too common, one modification leads to another. :D I feel like I need to either stiffen up the front or loosen up the rear to get the car more neutral again.

What sway bars are folks with GW rear arms running to get a neutral suspension? I am running GW front springs and Eibach rears.

Thanks!
Mike

HO bars with Intrax. I would say my car is neutral, maybe Tully can speak up, he has driven it a few times.

I run global west lca's with ho bar and stock impala ss springs in the rear. In front I have global west springs, 2nd gen f-body bar and energy suspension bushings.

The handling is neutral with a hint of understeer.

Mike,

Did you have a conversation with Doug @ GW about the change in handling? I'd start there....

9C1LT195, hmmm, my setup is pretty close to yours. My old set up made the handling neutral with a hint of understeer and I thought it was perfect. Now I am afraid to push the car past its limit, as the rear end likes to come around.

95cappySS, I have already sold the Hotchkis arms.

Bill, I have not talked with GW. I will give them a call and run it by them.

Thanks!

Mike

Mike : I am in the same situation. I found that the Hellwig bar actually works pretty decent. I'd like a LITTLE more bar in there, but it's a good start.

Mike, where are your rear and front Koni's set at??? Maybe an adjustment there would help.

My set-up, other than the GW lca's, is front and rear hotchkis sway bars AND springs and I would say the ride is just about perfect, and pretty nuetral - except for the fact that I have no freakin clue where my rear koni's are set at now, LOL (FASSt mod day). There is a tiny bit too much understeer for me, and my front Koni's are set at 4. I also have airlift bags out back that i leave 5-10 pounds of air in them depending on what's in the trunk.

I'm planning on switching to HALS fairly soon, basically because I believe my set-up is lacking that fine tuning adjustment that the hals give you.

I'm also debating on those GW springs, or similar.

Mike, you can drive my car and see if you like where it's at, just let me know bro! :D
