Hey all I figured I would just put up another thread. I changed the T56 manual as for some reason and I didn't know this til today, the inserted pictures sucked. Anyway sorry about that, I revised the format so it is a smaller file as well.

download from here http://www.4shared.com/folder/DsCj7jdE/Impala_and_Caprice_mods.html

I was holding onto the password and giving it out to people that pm'd me, but the hell with it, it looks like I maybe getting a job where I am going to be uber busy and I may not be on here much.

Password is 9196bbody

People that have downloaded this or have old versions may want to redownload, it is 10% the size of the original.

I always put this disclaimer in, mod to be done at your own risk. As well as if the manual helped you out at all and you feel like donating cool, my paypal is mfetcko at charter.net , you don't have to by any means, but anything is appreciated. I have kept track of the downloads as well as requests, they are over 400 now, with very little donation. It just takes alot of time to put stuff like this together.

Anyway all in all I hope it helps people out. Take care.

Hey, Mike

I just wanted to say a big "thank you" for the manual. I just did my T-56 swap, and (because I got a new job), I had Chuck Hawk Automotive in Tucson do it for me. I provided them with your manual, and the mechanics said that this was by far the easiest and most seamless custom job they'd ever done, just because of the manual.

It also made it much easier for me to get all the bits and pieces together for the swap.

Thanks again, man. I'm lovin' my new T56!

more like owe the forum...............a lot of that info in "your" manual was info from the forum, just copied into a "manual" with some added info. I always read you referring to this as "your" manual with no mention of the previous members that made this said manual possible. Don't get me wrong here, I've used it myself, after doing the whole run in and search, then run back out thing until you made it easier for us with this said manual, so I thank you for that.........just saying, give a little credit where it's due.

Well I can say that I have never taken credit away from anyone that I got the information from. The manual states this as well. I call it mine as I wrote it from mainly my personal experience and with the a little information of other forum members that did the installation before me, and they are all mentioned within the manual in the credits section.

Did I get a little information from the forum yes, did I rewrite any information that I used from the forum yes. Honestly I can't really say that I copied really anything verbatum from the previous information before the crash, there was a lot of information that had to be found via google, other forums, etc. and revised due to discontinued parts and better information.

I just call it mine as I took the time to write it up and do a hell of alot of research, sh** it is something like 61 pages now and up to Revision A, as well as I pay to host the file on a server so I can revise it when needed. Again I will never take anything away from those that provided information for it, hence why it is listed in the manual. I used pictures from Noel (Got “CUPCAKE” Bearings), Roger (BALLSS) and others. I had Roger and Doug (wood95ss) and Sharx proof read it. And probably used insight or possibly forum posts, but I got their blessing before using any information that they posted on the forum or otherwise.

This is what it states on page 39 of the manual

"A special thanks needs to go out to the forum members @ imapalassforum.com. These guys are a great bunch of individuals and are willing to help in any situation.
Thanks to
Roger ( Ball ss)
Noel (Got “CUPCAKE” Bearings)
Todd (GreenHornet)
Gerry (95Wagon)
Sean (Ark SS)
Sslumpin Imp
Sharkx
And others, that I am sure that I forgot to mention."

Long and the short of it, I did the T56 swap, wrote the manual using pictures information from my experience, used some pictures from other members and some members read it before I posted it, and I gave these members credit. I never asked for anything for the manual, in case someone wanted to donate after using it they could, but I didn't require anything from anyone.

Powder..

After you take your foot out of your mouth...I suggest you note page 39 in "Mikes" manual. In this and previous versions Mike has noted contributing people to the document "he" took the time to put togeather and make available to people like yourself to benefit from.

The fact he calls it "his" is because he compiled the information and did note acknowledgements for it

Mike

kudos for putting this togeather and updating it. No doubt it will continue to benefit others.

You mind if I whore this out/uploaded this on my Tech page. I always site the author and will link back to this thread. I just know forums crash, websites get taken down, and great information is lost. Let me know.

Thanks!

If you update it just post back in this thread and I'll update my file too. Thanks again! A guy in our club has a T56 installed and I want to test it out to see if I like it. I have a feeling I will!

Whatever, no foot in my mouth playa, lol, didn't remember any of the thanks in the manual I got(the original) but its been a while and no need to look at a revised one. Like I stated before, thank you for the manual, just thought there should be some recognition on the forum, not just in the manual for the original contributers for the newbies that weren't here before the crash(s). Now there is. My job is done ;) Call me crazy but I'm a fan of giving credit where due and felt everytime this ****ing manual is mentioned on the forum, its always thank you mike, no thank you og's, and you Roger was one of the bigger ones I remember.

It is cool powder you are entitled to your opinion as well as others. I gave credit where it was do in every revision of the manual, period. I don't find it necessary to say thanks to the "og"'s everytime it is brought up, when they are mentioned within it. I wrote the manual mainly on my personal experience and advice I got along the way in my original T56 install thread that was lost while I was writing the manual. I revise it based on other installs I have done myself for people and things that people send me, as well as tons of parts research.

No need to carry on with the back and forth about it. I said my piece. Take care.
