Here is the start of my turbo header and crossover. Its just a preliminary mock up tacked together as you can see cylinders 3&5 are not welded in yet. Once I like the fit and placement of turbo I will build a jig and build the header. The completed header will use a thicker flange and nice bends. I would like to get a vendor to mandrel bend the pipes so they are one piece but that might be out of my budget.
I wanted a decent sized downpipe so It took quite a bit of time to nail down a place for a 3.5 or 4" downpipe. Other designs out there use a smaller downpipe. This is not really a log header, unlike a log the left bank primaries will feed into the crossover very close to the turbo flange. This is my second turbo build and I am pretty slow at completing them... so progress might be slow coming.

Here is the hard part, leaving a big enough area for a 3.5 - 4" downpipe

Looks great so far. how are you planning on routing the crossover? If you're making a jig would you want to sell another one?
Thanks, if you look at the last pic you can just see the crossover coming up between the middle cyl's. I will try to get some pics tonight.

Ah I see it now. I really like that layout. Great work so far!

Did you ever finish you T6 setup? I saw the pictures of it started but for the life of me couldn't figure out where the downpipe went.

Yes, I finished and sold the T6 setup. The downpipe went under the kframe I lost about 2" on clearance. I transitioned to a oval tube under the frame if you look really close you can see the transition at the bottom of the downpipe. I ran that into a single 2 1/4 borla and 2" tailpipes that were on the car N/A...that really was really restrictive but it still spooled and pulled like a bitch. I planed on 3" dual exhaust but never got that far. I one of my vids You can see the single exhaust cleaning the street like a jet track blower...LOL. At that point I was hooked on turbos so I decided on a bigblock turbo setup...but then time passed and I built a caprice for my son and next thing you know plans change...

Here is some pics and video of the T6 ....

There are more vids on youtube. What most youtube viewers fail to realize is that I was gently rolling into the throttle and the tune was way soft. I have one burnout vid where I was getting heckled that it was N/A, again it was about 5/8 throttle just to keep the tires smoking. If I would have nailed it I would of just sat there smoking the tires and bouncing off the rev limiter like it would N/A. I guess that what people want to see...lol

I followed your previous thread on TTF. I always wondered what happened to your car, haven't seen any updates lately!

What's the details on the motor? Transmission?

Good luck!! :)

Thanks...yea I have been following your build also, good to see it making steam!!
I am really slow on the progress but I gotta get going on this. As far as the transmission, I rebuilt it with parts from proBuilt and it has an edge converter. The engine is basically a stock rebuild with ported heads and le2 cam. A forged short block is on the list...lol

Here is the Crossover pipe. Again this is just for mock-up not finished pipe. It tucks up really nice yet has plenty of clearance. There will be a flex pipe added also.

What are you using for a passenger side manifold/header?

Been thinking about slowly gathering parts for a single turbo for my 9c1. Thining s400

Another header... I like this design much better! Allows for a 3 1/2 downpipe.

First crossover pictured above was for the stock manifold...plans have changed...most likely a custom header. S400 could fit but is pretty tight and fan needs to be relocated (similar in size to my T6). If I can find a s475 cheep enough I might try it.
