Pretty cool easter egg out there, early members of the TAISSO group and their builds in the year 2000

Unfortunately the group died out around the 2013ish era, the weird part being any online trace of the group was very minimal, like around 1 or 2 threads that I could find that talked about it when I was doing my search at the time I picked up my Impala. I've met like 2 or 3 original members but the rest? Vanished, kinda spooky considering, and whatever happened to those impala's? They were quite modified.

In attempt to revive or at least have some group presence it I've re-setup the group under 登录或注册即可查看 and own the domain to taisso.ca (will do something with that later).

So if anyone was an original member or owns a b-body in the Ontario, Canada region feel free to join. Hope to have some meets next year.

Some other easter eggs.

Really neat. Speaking of old impala groups, I really wished someone could have archived the NAISSO forums. I would love to browse some of the old threads back in 03 when I first bought my SS.

Amazing how fast time flies.
I was a teenager when I bought my SS back in 03 and I remember looking at the 60's/70's muscle cars like they were mythical creatures from another life time built years before I was even born. Crazy that some 18 year old kid could be looking at my Impala the same way now LOL

Give the archive machine a try, most links will be broken but you may able to salvage some of the old threads. I actually wonder if some of the pages of this forum was archived before the big crash.

Hi
I was an associate or nonpaying member back then on Yahoo Taisso groups from around 2000. I went to some track days at TMP. I live in Niagara or about 60 miles out of Toronto. It was before I had a digital camera unfortunately. I bought my 96 BBB in 1998. I still have it. It is licensed this year until my birthday in December. It is kind of a survivor. The body is good. The roof and spoiler need repainting. I built a new stainless exhaust this year for it. My 62 Parisienne has an LT1/4L60E and I just put it in the barn for the winter last week. Having too many projects detracts from my B body activities. My LT1/4speed install in my 78 Malibu is almost finished. My 56 Ford had a 95 Vette LT1 for a few years and now has a 400 sbc until the Vette engine gets rebuilt. This fall I was gifted a Pro-street 27 Ford and it has been distracting me. It looks perfect but has a bunch of chassis issues I'm sorting out.
Pete

The '56 Victoria had a Vette LT1, GM Perf Parts carb intake and hot cam. 3.08 non posi axle held it to 14.0 @ 99.7 mph.

Oh man nice line up!

Please feel free to join the facebook group (if you have facebook) and post your rides there, I'm sure you'll know a few in the group as some of them are old TAISSO members also.

Took some digging but found the TAISSO sister group KISSO (kingston impala ss owners) under a geocites url.

Unfortunately most of the images are gone or are too small. Except for this one below:

Also some cool gifs

OB-BO.net (ontario b-bodies group) was using the inegma forum board but nothing really salvageable there in terms of images.

Most of us are new blood.

I think RWD Pete (posted in this thread actually) was the only one there from the original TAISSO group, his car's odometer stopped functioning at 400,000km, so there's a good chance it's above 500,000km, impressive. Owned it from 98.

There's 3 original TAISSO members that weren't able to make it, two of them with their cars down (gary and brad). Nick Messam is a bit far out but I did meet him not too long ago.

The DGGM one on 22s is JJ96SS on the forums, really nice car, around 50,000km on it I wana say.

DCM one is tyler.

The green caprice is a 396 CI car with 4.10s, definitely the most powerful car there. Matthew kirkwood's car

The black one has 15,000km on it. (forgot the name apologies)

My one is the KL58 plate with the six speed in it. Ordered up a new plate "TAISSO" since for whatever reason they refunded me on my first plate for no reason.

Slowly building out the website for the group.

Tons of stuff I want to add:

Integrated events calendar
Integrated events gallery
Ability to sign up to the mailing list
Local builds
Tech articles
Recommended local shops

Fortunately being a web developer I can do all this, but content creation is a whole thing by itself and is just a matter of time building it out eventually.
