Wish i would have thought about all these air intake mods back when i had my '91 9C1

Then again back then i had no internet and that '91 was my very first Caprice.I really did not know what to do with it as far as mods whent. Also i always thought that the car was fast enough and did not feel the need to make it faster lol.

Good thread Mass !

how did you install the 2nd intake pipe on the passenger side? Glued it on? Melted it on?

Any difference in performance?

A hockey puck will plug that big baffle thing on the snorkel right?

You could also cut it off flush with the main pipe and rivet in a piece of sheet metal and seal that with some black RTV.

You need to block off the heat exchange pipe also, so be sure to buy sheetmetal, rivet gun & some shears.

Also there will be 4 holes so be prepared, 2 heat exchange & 2 silencer holes.

I just did the "Hockey Puck" Mod on my car a few minutes ago.

Next thing to do is the First Base Delete mod. :D

http://www.denkins.net/dustin/photo19.htm

*EDIT*

BTW You don't need any epoxy for the hockey puck, the puck itself costs like a buck over at Sports Authority.

Notice any improvment?
I am thinking of doing this to my L99.
What is the purpose of the home and first bases?

Sorry for the thread jack.

</font>[/QUOTE]They silence intake air, thats about it. The first base is supposed to be restrictive but the homeplate is usually just removed for looks only.
