Next spring, my 1991 Roadmaster estate will be getting a tuned port injection setup, but for the time being I'm sticking with throttle body. I need to replace the fuel pump and I wanted to know if I could get away with replacing it with a TPI pump without the throttle body setup getting upset. Will the extra pressure cause any problems? I would really rather not have to drop the tank twice. Thanks!
TPI pump is a common upgrade for the TBI pump. regulator will be fine. I would however recommend the vortec pump from the GTM400 platform, ac delco p/n EP381 instead of the TPI pump. also get a new sock/fuel pump strainer.
