Loader Launcher Module. Trooooop. I think a single six pack would fit back there.

Mark: Snowman-33

I should have caught that one. Problem is I have to catch them in the back of the head when they launch

Now the car was a full bolt car with CAI(cone filter, straight pipe, aluminum elbow, air foil) coolant by pass mod, Hooker Super Competition headers, shorty glass packs, 4.10 gears and a tune. It made 295hp at the wheel on the dyno but that was with an exhaust leak at the header flange(because the previous owner decided to just use half the bolts.) So I am calling it 300+. Since then I have had the engine rebuilt with new bearings, rings and seals. Plus adding a LE custom grind 223/231 110 LSA cam, Lunati lifters, Trickflow pushrods, Comp Cams roacker studs, Lunati VooDoo 1.6 rockers, Lunati double valve spring kit all on F-body aluminum heads. I used Cometic MLS .027 head gaskets which with the aluminum heads should give me around 11.3-1 compression ratio. I also use a Powerbond street performance balancer and Cloyes timing chain. I also upgraded to a Delphi 3.5 MAF and 36lb injectors. I figured since the engine was out and I needed to upgrade the torque coverter and the trans had over100k miles that with its age and the added power who knows how long it would last so I bought a 3200 Pro Torque converter and CPT Pro Race trans with extra hard parts. And to top it al off I had Solomon do the tune. Pretty happy with everything. As of now the engine has less than 500 miles on it and hasn't yet seen WOT. It does run darn good. It doesn't seem as brutal but like I said no WOT yet. But it goes through the revs like a hot knife through butter. And on at least 3 occasions it has chriped the tires at part throttle. The trans seems stock if in OD and driven like a normal car. But in drive the shifts are pretty darn firm. But then use a bit of throttle and they get even harder. I have no idea what it will be like when I actually bat on it hard. No idea what to expect for rear wheel hp numbers. Conservative I think 350. But most similar builds are around 375. But I have been told probably more, but we will have to see.

Stickman, put insulation on every soft surface under the hood, or you will probably melt it all. I have seen cars with every harness melted and dripping plastic.

I have had no problems to date with the engine. The headers have been on it since I have owned it. There are a few places with wrap but very little. And I have driven it in some hot temps. Now that being said since the rebuild the coolant temps are higher than they were but that could be just the engine being tighter as it isn't broken in yet. That being said the compression is much higher now as well.

Stickman - Looks like we have the same car :)

https://www.impalassforum.com/vBulletin/63-new-member-introductions/1315462-hello-good-meet-you.html

I see that you lowered the car some - Would you happen to have the original front springs from the hearse by chance?

The car has a unique look to it - initially I wasn't too keen on it, but seeing it come together it looks really good now!

Yup exact same make but yours is the higher end model as it has the gold emblem in the landau bar. I have front springs. But the car will sit very high as they are the heavy duty springs. Probably not cheap to ship either. Should have the rears as well. Here is how my car sat when I got it.

Stickman... any chance you could post a picture of the engine bay?

I believe the commercial Fleetwoods had no ABS, and I'm curious what the brake line plumbing looks like.

Really, what I'm getting at is this:

I'm curious if the throttle cable assembly from the commercial chassis could be used by people like me to delete the traction control on the regular Fleetwood. It sounds like it.
