Has anyone ever thought about contacting this company and finding out if they can redo out exterior "thin wood trim"? If they can maybe we could negotiate a group price if we could send them several sets to be redone. Deco Tec -
Seems like that should work.
Their straight grain wood colors don't include a light enough wood, but maybe they can do other colors. Seems like the color is based on the base coat.
.60 a square inch. I will have to go measure my car and see how much we need. She said they offer GPs of 10-15%, depending on the quantity orderd. She also said they do exterior surfaces on a lot of products so it will hold up just fine. Forgot to ask about a warranty though, sorry.
Figure up the price. If it'd reasonable, I've got an extra complete set of thin trim just sitting here doing nothing but collecting dust. I'll swap it out for my old trim and be the "BETA TESTER" for "deco-tecing"
That sounds pretty expensive.
If I guess the car is 12'.
And I guess they would need 2" strips to wrap around the trim.
There would be (4) 12' strips + (2) 6' strips for the tailgate. 864"x2"=1728sq/in x .60=$1,036.80.
I don't think I'd spend over $300 for this job.
92RoadMonsterWagon, Only bad thing about that stuff is, the lightest color is burma teak, and that is an exact color match for the wide decal on our cars. If someone would just make this stuff in a lighter color!!!!!!!
