You think finding the parts was hard it took me 3 years to finally get written permission from the Michigan State Police to restore the car. When parts were located they were anything but cheap for sure!Mike, how were you able to restore, and find such rare part’s.
This is correct. A buddy of mine restored a 1972 Fury as well, an original MSP car. And went through the same thing. It's cool that MSP will work with you, if you know who/what/how to ask for permission. He is a cop, so that helps. But it sure does take time and money. It's also cool that MSP used those stop signs on the hood for decades (although there were slightly different style and materials differences over the years, brass versus plastic, etc). You think finding the parts was hard it took me 3 years to finally get written permission from the Michigan State Police to restore the car. That 95 LAPD 9c1 is a beaut. How was it spec'd? Manual windows and vinyl front 60/40 seat or the more typical cloth and power windows?View attachment 202070
My 1995 was an LAPD car. Pretty sure it was an admin car. It has a 60/40 front seat, a single red light above the front windshield mirror and blue and amber rear deck lights. it has 40k miles on it now.

My 2014 was Carlsbad California Police. I haven't had this one very long. Still working on it.
I have an 89 that I can't find a decent picture of. It's not ready for the internet yet. Admin car from the LA area too. No signs of it ever being in service.
