Do anyone know what size tire came on the civilian caprice. I'm talking about the ones with the white wall tires. Thanks

I think it was a 215 or 225/70/15.... But I may be wrong...

My 9C1 had 235-70-15's on it....

The original tires on my 91 civilian Caprice were 205/75/15.

Now, I've got 225/70/15, which is much better.

My 96 Caprice came from the factory with 235/70/15 Goodyear Eagle GA White Wall tires.

Civvy models:
215/75R15 standard
235/70R15 (with towing package)
not sure what tires came with the B4U sport suspension, probably 225/70R15 or 235/70R15.

9C1 models:
225/70HR15 (VZ2 limited; 130 with LT1; 120 with L99)
235/70VR15 (limited to approx 147 mph)

WX3 (Impala SS merchandised "trim" package)
255/50ZR17

For the most part and depending on the year of manufacture, the above applies to 1991-1996 models. You can also look at the clickable online Chevrolet 9C1 brochures (which include the civvy model std equipment) at
http://www.9c1.com/ http://9c1.com/brochures/ http://9c1.com/technical/

HTH. - Ken, '94 9C1 that had 225/70HR15s and VZ2 from the factory. Now has 255/60VR15 and VZ2 delete.
