I believe that is the same issue that I am having with my front end ... it also seems to do it when the steering wheel is fully locked counter-clockwise (to the left). Might be upper-control arm bushing, intermediate steering shaft, etc ???

I could be way off base here but..
Check your steering stop and see if it looks like it has been rubbed on hard. I found that the lower control arm riveted bracket at full lock would ride over the steering stop. Esp. if the wheel moved up/dn from normal location. Grease the stop or possibly extend the stop vertically. There were other stops available but they really limit turning radius( I plan on pulling mine off) - Scott

My caprice was doing the same thing until I had the control arm bushings replaced. If you have not done so, I also recommend a new heavy duty idler arm, center link and new shock absorbers. Good luck.

Before you go replacing parts, grease the entire front end, especially the steering stops, you'll be amazed at the difference it makes.

HEY YOU GUYSSSSSSSSSSSS!!

:D :D :D

Mike I couldn't help it..

Seriously, for the front end: I'd agree with giving everything a hit of grease, and go from there, then check for missing bolts, then for loose peices, with excessive wear.
