I have a 2008 Chevy Impala SS. When I bought it, owner said it had some shifting problems. Figured I could possibly fix it by putting in new shift solenoids. When I start out on hills, engine revs all the way to 4500 rpm then the converter lets go. Also, when driving, the converter unlocks before it goes into second. I have to let my foot off the pedal so it can go into second gear. It up shifts into the other gears just fine. It also has no problem down shifting when coming to a stop. I figured it might be losing pressure in the TC. Don't know how else to fix it. Is it a computer problem or an actual part that has gone bad?
P.S I also replaced fuel filter thinking that it might be surging for fuel, but that wasn't the case
