I believe the front pump bushing is shot. Poor the fluid in, works fine until it all runs back out the front.

With 175,000 I'm not going to bother fixing it........the tranny that is.

Better now than half way to N.Y. :D

Finally got the new transmission back in. I'll give it a bit before posting where it came from (relatively cheap).

Couple small complaints (as there always seems to be) but shifts real well. I haven't drove it much BECAUSE!!!!

Drive it home, get in it to go for a ride and sqeeeeeeeel, clank, clank, shudder, shudder.

I think, dang surely it didn't detonate this quick (I never even drove it hard). Got to looking and the A/C compressor clutch broke. For those who never have had this happen, you'd be surprised at the noise it makes. It makes the whole car shake when it gets off line and starts spinning.

I'd hoped to get some other things done to the car before the trip in August but I'm going to spend all my free time on maintenence items it seems.

Perry, while it's not necessarily an attractive option, I know where you can get an A/C compressor free if you pull it yourself. On August 12th!
