Anyway, I did find this and a few others with google search. So there does look like there are some out there on the 4l60e if you want to take this job on.

Trans removal is pretty much the same on our cars as any other rear drive classic car.

With regards to question one. If you have an extra set of jack stands, it really helps to get all four corners on the car of the ground.

I don't have a lift, but doing a Trans swap on my back with a floor jack/plank bolted to it, was much easier to slide things around with the extra clearance. You would be amazed at how much more room you seem to have if you take the time to lift up the rear being sure to support the car safely. Remember, there is over 2 tons of steel over your head.
