I got a low mile 70k transmission from iceman after he did his swap to a six speed in his 95 roady. It came with a transgo kit not installed. I installed the kit after carefully reading every thread in the sticky section that Joel had writen. I knew if I installed the kit, I would be able to put the transmission in a 94 car with no other changes. The guy helping me install the kit and myself decided to put one shim washer in the second accumulator. But after going back and reading one of Joels writeups, I decided to pull it back out. Now that was before the great crash of 09. Fast forward to yesterday. I finished up the install and took it for a quick ride. At 1/2-3/4 throttle the car chirped second fairly hard. I am not sure if this is too much for a stock transmission or not, and I am not really complaining since the old tranny had 285k and no 1st or 4th gear, and the converter would not hold. But I am now woundering if this is normal for the kit without the washers? I just can't afford to tear up another transmission. Yes, the kit was installed correctly. Every step that was done, was checked, rechecked, and comfirmed by each of us, before moving on to the next step.
I am just looking to comfirm that this is normal?
I am not aware of any programing ever being done that would have upped the line pressure.

Thanks
Bill

The ratio is the stock 3.08.

Under light throttle the car shifts fine.

I did take it out on the highway to warm it up today so I could check the fluid. It appeared to be about a1/2 quart high. So maybe after I remove some, and get it down where it should be, maybe it will settle down?

After driving the car around, it does not feel as bad.

But my cel keeps coming on. The transmission is the only change I made. 95 w/transgo in 94. Does not come on right away, but once on, it stays on. Car shifts fine through all gears, so no solenoid as far as I can tell. I am going to scan it tomorrow.

UPDATE:
I scanned the car and drove it with the scanner for real time readouts. Printer was out of paper in the scanner, so I could not show a readout here. Everything is working as it should based on the scan. CEL did not come on during scan. Also it is not storing a code, so untill it does it again with the scanner hooked up, there is no way to tell if it is transmission related. But it did not start untill transmission swap.
