As posted by Dan in the Exhaust section here.

We have not moved forward with them. We spent time and money on the Quad-1 cut-outs and I sold two sets. I'm not really ready to spend more time and money on fixtures again. If one of you guys want to organize a "Sale", I hate the term "GP or Group Purchase", then feel free. If you can get 5 people to pre-pay then I'll get it done. Expect to pay $165.00 retail per set with gaskets, nuts, bolts and block-off plates. Get the 5 people and I'll knock $15.00 off.
Anyone in?

They look good Dan.

Dan- Did you get the e-mail I sent you about the stuff I need to order?
G
Ok guys,
I have received comments about our cut-outs not working with the electric cut-outs.

All the correspondence about the TRI-Y cut-outs working with the electric cut-outs in this forum, was based off of the cut-outs Terry has on his Quads. I dont have a set of the electrics and never planned on ordering a set. The production was for TRI-Y cut-outs. I never guaranteed them working together as there was no way possible to know if they would. If someone wants to send me a set then I'll be happy to try and make them both work together.
I don't mean to sound angry, but as I posted before, I never planned on moving forward with the TRI-Y cut-out project in the first place. We only did so because of the requests here. I didn't realize I was comitting to our products working perfectly with another companies products of which we have never seen.
I guess I can try to sell the sets you guys have. So basically I will end up with the same amount of wasted material, as we did with the Quad cut-out project, if they don't sell.
I didn't mean to mis-lead anyone, we did our best to get these in production and shipped quickly. I think this was accomplished.
Let me know what you guys want to do. Maybe the owner of the company making the electric cut-outs should modify his product to work with ours. That should sound just as reasonable as us making the changes, but for some reason, on this forum, it wont.

Dan- When I send you payment for the stuff I want to order form you, if I also sent one of the electric cutouts, do you think it would be possible for you to get them to work with the Tri-Y cutouts?
G
Whatever works for you Dan. I can live without electric cutouts.

For Sale--
Tri Y cutouts--$167.50 to your house.
Tri Y off road pipes--$115 to your house.
I was one of the guys who expected the Tri Y cutouts to work with Ecutouts.
Dan has offered to refund my money, but if someone buys them from me, it will save both Dan and me $$$.
G
John and all,
if you send me an electric cut-out then we will make it work, as long as it is physically possible. I will give you the run down on the time involved:

Finish custom Quad headers on my car.
Finish custom intake/intercooler/exhaust project on RX7.
Build 15 sets of TRI-Y headers.
Do two custom exhaust installs.
Start header/exhaust fabrication on 350Z.
Pull 350Z out of shop and get my car back on the rack for re-design of TRI-Y cut-outs and electric cut-outs.

We got our spring rush for headers about two months early and local business has just started to pick-up as well.

Estimated time for completion of new cut-outs - 2 months.

Let me know what you decide.

Bob,
thanks for understanding and trying to move the products yourself. Email me off-line for an address to send the new cut-outs to. I have a customer who is waiting for his throttle body to be bored-out before we build and ship them. In turn I'll send you a check. Actually, I just VOID the check you sent.

Dan- As soon as I order the electric cut outs I'll send them to you with my order. The wait on them being done is no problem for me, I'm in no rush.
G
Dan-

Wow, open headers are friggen loud.

Unfortunately I don't have anything to report. It was the nicest Sunday in almost 3 months and every street race with 100 miles decided to go race. There must have been over 150 cars and 30 or more motorcycles. The average wait time between runs was about 1 hour. The track prep wasn't the best and unless you had slicks you were spinning badly. The only descent run I got (without spinning) was the last run in which I walked it out and got a high 1.8 60'. Even that didn't come close to what I was expecting to run.
