The motor went out in my RM shortly after I bought it. I bought a new one from Rock Auto and replaced it in about 5 minutes. It was one of the easiest replacements I had done at the time on any of my vehicles. It's pretty much removing the bolts, and electrical connector, and swapping out the motor and replacing the bolts, and connector. Everything is right there in plain sight.from what i hear most peoples run into problems with the motor wereing out, but i looked at some at the junkyard and it doesn't look difficult to instal.
I bought one for my '95 at www.rockauto.com. They carry 3 motors, 10 a Dorman P/N 747000 for $61.79 2) an A C Delco P/N 16889150 for $72.79 ( this unit replaces 16608837 #16608837, 19116530}^^^^They have replacement trunk pull down motors?
I thought the only place you could get them at now since GM doesnt carry them anymore is the junkyard and thats a big hit and miss with that.

These P/Ns fit other years but go to their site and check the number for your specific model year.
