While this TSB refers an axle to far forward in the wheel well, it applies primarily to a mis-aligned rear axle. You may be able to utilise the procedure to move the axle back equally on both sides but the amount of movement is minimal, 4 - 8 mm, less than 1/3" max. A lot of work for minimal benefit unless your rear axle is really mis-aligned and causing the car to "dog-track".
