My mapquest directions have my going on the Muskogee Turnpike. It says, "Some portions toll". Exactly what is 'some portions?' Will I need a roll of quarters and have to stop every two miles? How much is the toll? Would I be better off continueing 40W to 75N? That looks farther but if I have to stop every couple miles to throw change I would rather go around.

Every interstate in and out of Tulsa is a toll road. This includes the Muskogee turnpike, as well as I-44 from Joplin in the Northeast to Oklahoma city in the southwest.

For the Muskogee turnpike, there will be 2 toll booths....one between I-40 and Muskogee, and another between Muskogee and Tulsa. The only break in the toll road is when you pass thru Muskogee. At this point, the speed limit drops from 75 to 70.

The toll should be somewhere between $1.25 and $1.75 per leg. I'm not sure as I haven't traveled that route in a year.

There is no better way into Tulsa from the southeast.

Ok...here's what the tolls are:

Will Rogers turnpike - from the Missouri state line to Tulsa - $3.50

Turner turnpike - Oklahoma city to Tulsa - $3.50

Muskogee turnpike - from Webbers falls (I-40) to Tulsa - $2.50

Cimarron turnpike - from I-35 to Tulsa - $2.50

Cherokee turnpike - from Siloam Springs (AR) to Tulsa - aka hwy 412 - $2.25

That about covers it. The same information can be found at the following address:
