Last night I was over at my buddies house after getting the caddy back from the shop (again). My buddy has an 05 Hemi Dodge truck (quad cab). He asked me if I wanted a piece of the Hemi, and I said sure. I followed him to a good road and we were both in the left turn lane waiting at the light to turn onto the road. When the light went green, we both went slowly around the turn and took our positions side by side. When we were evenly lined up, we both slammed the gas from a roll of about 30mph. I had the lead right from the start, and I never looked back. The front of his truck was even with my front doors up until about 60, and then I started pulling on him hard. By about 100, I had a few car lengths on him. When we got back to the house, he gave me my props and commented on how nice my exhaust sounded at WOT.

About 30 minutes ago, I was side by side with a black SRT-4. I gunned it and looked in my mirror and he didn't seem interested. Then once I let off the gas, I hear him floor it and I see him coming up behind me so I floor it as well. This one wasn't even close. He just flew by me and kept pulling. I don't think it was a stock SRT-4... it sounded pretty mean and he left me like I was standing still. He slowed down and I caught up to him, we gave eachother a thumbs up, and went our seperate ways.

I've heard of Hemi LX cars (Magnum, Charger, 300C)running anywhere from 13.9 to high 14's. I've driven two Hemi Magnums... one was RWD and one was AWD. Both of them hauled ass.

They still are dogs considering they have 85 more horespower and 60ftlbs more torque then an LT1 B/D Body, and our over 10 year old GM technology LT1 cars still hold up against them pretty well.
