Im thinking of getting these. I have band clamps that leak a little. Here is a link.

Do they require welding? If so I might as well go ahead and get new mufflers also.

FWIW, these:

are better than anything else out there. I prefer aluminum as they're thicker and don't stretch as much as stainless. If you're going back in later, get the aluminum. If it's once and done, you can use either stainless or aluminum.

machts nichts. They have butt joint clamps as well for that application.

The V-Bands require special ends on BOTH peices that fit the clamps.
