Okay, i was in my buddys infiniti and it feels like you are literaly floating over bumps and dips and the whole ride is extremely smooth. i have all stock suspension and want to put in what it takes to get our cars to ride like this. what does it take? im not REALLY going for handling(although improved handling would be great) but i want the smooth riding feel of the luxury cars. how do i do this? TIA

Throw in a stock Buick Roadmaster sedan suspension. It'll handle like crap, but it'll soak up the bumps better.....

I second that. My girl has a RM and it floats along. It does handle well. Its a 92 RM, i have a 96 9c1.

I dont see much difference in the suspension, maybe someone could fill me (us) in on what is different about the RM sedans. I know, or at least on my girls car, she has airbags on the back which helps GREATLY.

You're pretty much never going to make a B-Body feel like a modern, unibody car with IRS. Even the archaic suspension geometry adds to the mess.

Now if you could somehow greatly reduce the unsprung weight and adapt an IRS (C4?), you'd go a long way...

Perhaps consult BMW on just how they mix suspension compliance with nimble handling (maybe focus on the 2-ton+ 7-series for a fair comparison).

Personally, I think a lot of it is in shock tuning.
