I bought my 96 Impala SS 2 years ago and I quickly discovered that in my area a 96 was on average going for $15-17K but if I looked in the L.A. area they were going for about $10-11K but if I was willing to go to Arizona they could be had for $7-8K. I ended up finding my 96 an hour drive away and gave the guy $8K and it has only 104K miles on it.

Wow, 158k miles and he wants $15k! I guess my clean 96 SS with 91k miles is worth closer to $20k right, lol? CA prices for a decent Impala SS have always been high, but clearly this guy is very high himself.

I bought my car back in 2001 and paid $18k for it with less than 18k miles. I flew all the way from California to Iowa to buy it because every SS I looked at in CA had at least 40k miles, scratched and dented exteriors, rough dirty interiors, and none of them were under $22k which is almost sticker price brand new!

Now that one is funny. Guy doesn't even know that the Impala stopped production in 1996 and wasn't produced again until 2000 and that what he has is an older Caprice.
