Why specify RWD, were there any FWD Fleetwoods 94-96?
No, all Fleetwoods are RWD 93-96.
FWD were Devilles, completely different car not as desirable in my opinion.

94. No PWM TCC like 95-96. OBD1. 3 position lumbar seats.

And mine, Factory V4P. 250k miles on it now. Needs some work, northern salt has done in the body. Find a southern car....

Did any Caprices come with 3.42 from factory? Ever ?
91-93 9C1-LO5s came with 3.42 standard -which it desperately needed, because the 9C1-LO5 only had 200 horse.
91-93 Fleetwood V4Ps came with 3.73; nearly impossible to find.

To improve CAFE MpG scores and emissions ratings, the LO5 and the LO3 were dropped in favor of the LT1 [and the gottverdamnt L99].
The LT1's improved power and torque permitted the V4P to go from 3.73 to 3.42, and the 9C1-LT1 from 3.42 to 3.08, improving performance, CAFE MpG scores, and emissions ratings all at the same time.

[But for the existence of CAFE, 2.56, 2.73, 2.93, and the L99 would never have needed to exist.]
went off on a bit of a tangent there …

I have a 96 and running a scangauge is completely worth having obd2. Keep in mind the only gauges you get are speed, an odometer, and fuel level.

Being able to monitor the RPMs, Temp, and MPG are nice. Obviously you could just run them the old fashioned way but the convenience is nice.

I can't seem to figure out the code for trans temp though

pardon my fuel level

What bracket are you using to mount that? Looks really good. Seems to be some cell phone holder of some sort...?

That's a right decent-looking ride there. Wear it in good health.

The 1987-1992 Fleetwoods were based on the DeVille FWD platform. For these years the larger RWD car was the Brougham. People still call the 1987-1992 Broughams Fleetwoods because they do not know any better. Heck even car dealers do. Even when they were NEW car dealers did!

These 1994-1996 Fleetwood had TWO different tow packages, the lesser V92 and the more robust V4P. The V92 had the 2:93 axel ration and the V4P had the 3:42 axel ratio.

I have owned a 1995 V4P and a 1996 V4P. I have only seen ONE 1994 V92. Prior to the LT1 the V92 was the tow package for the RWD Broughams and Fleetwood RWD cars. (I say this because all 1987-1992 Fleetwoods were based on the DeVille FWD platform).
