First i would clear the codes, and then drive around to make them come back to be sure.
If has android phone use free Torque app and watch the O2 sensors bounce between .1 and .9 volts. .5volts would be perfect world number. It changes as PCM guesses the need for more fuel. Lazy ones don't bounce as well as good ones. Assuming you have ODB2 car.

Go buy a tool that not only scans for codes but shows live data. You have a '96, so almost any code reader will work. But for the price, and if you have smartphone,
BAFX is $22 from Amazon and will read engine codes and show live data.
BlueDriver is $99 from Amazon, will read all computers and will datalog. (it does go on sale on Black Friday for $69 every year)
