Ex-taxi. I would suspect a cluster swap on those miles

HI, you are bidding on a 9c1 L99 4.3L V8, 1994 chevy caprice classic, retired police vehicle...with less than 88,000 miles...
-------------------------------------------------
Where are you getting Ex-taxi from
It sez its a 9c-1 not 9c-6 and yes the 9c-1's were put into Police service with the 4.3L L-99 V-8's as I own one

The hood bulges strange.....accident scarfe?

Also a lot of different colors in the interior...Dash and steeringwheel do differ a lot...

And the non-painted rear deck spoiler tells the rest...a non-finished project...

Well...is a project ever finished...?

WOW yall are very critical.....i thought it looked good and I have looked at about 30 caprices/impalas in person for sale in the last 3 months and thought this one was nice(in the top 5 for sure in this price range). I liked the colors also, not the tipical blue interior with white exterior.

Gotta remember these cars are routinely exploited at sale time. Not saying this seller is dishonest at all. Perhaps it was misrepresented to him. He has only had it since the end of May.

Just my .02 -- I quit buying these cars from individuals along time ago. Don't get me started on that.....

 I kind of see your concern, but when I ran a check on my car it's history broke down the same way... I bought mine at a 103,000(now has 146,000 knock on wood
), it was a locally owned(WA. State) Fleet-Lease that was leased out to a Dept. in New Mexico for a few years, then a Dept. out of Oregon also for afew, before being returned to my State to serve acouple of more years with a Dept. 50 miles south of me,then reired for afew months/year before it was put up for Auction and sold to the place I bought it from

I put 38,000 within my first year, it would have been more but I did a complete front-end rebuild over a four month period :D

I'd run away, the steering wheel isnt even orignal for that car. It's definetly been "exploited."

For a Fleet Service Tech, it is pretty easy to accidentally deploy an Airbag while performing a maintainence schedule
..

If that is the normal reaction to a replaced wheel, then why do so many sell there cars with the Monte/Camaro SS/Firebird wheel conversions

The least they could have done, was to replace it with one that has the same color...

I don't see anything in the pictures indicating taxi use. Seats look good. Drivers door panel not beat and worn like a high mile car would show. Although any of those could be changed and the vin check DOES show taxi use...
03/14/2003 ARVERNE, NY Motor Vehicle Dept. REGISTRATION EVENT/RENEWAL TAXI USE

It is interesting not only the wheel/airbag is a different color but the whole column.

Check it out real good and ask lots of questions.

I wouldn't buy from that seller. He sounds desperate to part with it, giving all the possible excuses. Too many projects in the works, the wife issued an ultimatum, etc. Not to mention his spiel about the L99! He says, "you see if you are familiar with the L99 V8 motor, you know it's fast... once you reached 35-40 mph you can leave everyone else behind." Lastly, the complaints about the starting difficulties. Don't even begin to consider this car.
