You know, that 'shocker' 4 horn system sounds VERY similar to the caddy horns. Probably 10 times louder, though...

Keep an eye out at salvage yards for late model Cadillac's ,fullsize Buicks ,and maybe Oldsmobiles.
I've gotten lucky there in the past. I need to inventory my stash of GM horns ,and may part with some.
Caddylack - not sure how the horns differ (if at all...)? I believe on the GM horns, the letter is molded in the plastic on the outlet of the horn. The letters are pretty "thin" so can be easy to miss.
So, how far back do I have to go before the horns change significantly? I guess my Eldorado, my Fleetwood, and the late model Buick/Olds stuff are the same.

77-79?
76-earlier?

Older ones have a single connector ,with horn mounted to body providing the ground. Found horns from 70's though many Have marginal sound (if they work at all)... Newer style with Metra-Pack connector provide voltage ,and ground. So ,be sure to snag as much of harness horn is plugged into as much as reasonable.

+1 on newer horns/connectors. The basic multi-note system goes back to the 1960s, although it wasn't always standard. Various mounting brackets, earlier horns are metal case, later are flatter with a plastic side. If adding horns to a two-note, the main thing is good wiring/terminals/relay. Horn button should be only a trigger for the relay, not horn power. Delco horns are very reliable (unlike Tesla horns, which fail all the time). If your sound isn't musically awesome, test the relay, then each horn. Adjustment screw on horn changes the current draw and thus the sound quality but not the note itself. Your shop manual has amp specs. They were adjusted at the factory, so out-of-spec amperage or bad/no sound usually means wiring/terminals/relay, or horn cleaning/rebuilding--crummy contacts, overheated/melty coil, sticky solenoid on the diaphragm, water damage, bugs. Not hard to bring an old horn back to life. If the diaphragm itself is toast, get another horn to work with.

Lol, the horn on my 86 Toyota 4x4 sounded like the Corolla at 5:29. I put the extra A and F horns I got from the caddy on it, sounds quite beefy now. But since their behind the grille and not inside the fender like on my Caprice, it sounds very different.

I'm planning to put the Caddy horns on my Audi. Eventually, I might put some sort of gag horn on my 94 Fleetwood. Maybe a horn from a Mini Cooper, or something.
