what do you mean when you say nitrous will move your powerband to the left??
Looking at a graph of hp vs. rpm, all other things being equal, your nitrous power peak will be left (lower rpm) of your NA peak.
For example, my NA power peak is 425 @ 6400 rpm, and I shift at 7100 rpm to avoid falling too far back on the power curve in the next gear. It typically falls back to 5400-5500 rpm.
On the 100 shot, the power peak is 527 @ 6000 rpm, actually more of a plateau -around 525 hp from 5800 to 6400, and I shift at 6600. The extra torque at the lower rpms from the nitrous combined with my high stall torque converter never lets the rpm fall below 5700.
