I would be wondering if the gas station was sticking it to me at that point. The spec is 23.5, but apparently there are variations.

He was probably able to fit 25 including filling the neck of the tank all the way up

I though my owner manual had it listed at 23, and my wagon was listed at 21.

If it's technically 23.5, then I apoligize.

However, I know for a fact it is NOT 25 gallons.

Was the car running when you put 25 gallons in it?

Like 383 said, his lines were probably bone dry... Hence the extra gasoline needed to fill his fuel lines. It is 23 gallons. But if you overfill, 23.5 is possible.

Another that has pumped 25 gal cwm3 I must have been on fumes or got cheated at the pump. I had taking a pic but caint find it now,I did fill it up all the way to the neck though.

If you'r getting more than 24 gallons in there, your getting ripped off, even at 23.5, your at the max that the tank can take.
