First off I love my shiny stainless steel 91' 9c1 wheel covers. They look serious police and shine beutifull. They really bring up the overall look of the car compared to my bare black steel rims I used to have exposed.

I like my spot light, and pushbar. I used to have the black steel wheels, but have since replaced them with 17 in. Impala wheels. I liked the steel wheels, but I like the Impala wheels much better. :D :D

I like the trunk button next to the headlight switch, and the cigarette lighter inside the ashray thing. That is much better than the way they do the civilian Caprices.

Does I'm the only one liking the hood hornement? :D

The 9C1 option I like most is the extra wiring.. I did reroute tons of wires from side to side to relays to switchs, and already having _some_ wires from old police equipement and an extra fusebox, i'm happy

Currently I wired so many stuff that I'm real low on fuse feed from the stock box and the extra box is overfill..

Well, on my '96, the dash light off button is kewl for the Drive In when listening to the radio, but the biggest best baddest must SEO option is the way newer 94+? let you open the drivers door without having to unlock it.

For my '91, my favorite SEO optin #?? Little ashtrays on the door panels. I quit smoking like 5 years ago though, so it's no big deal anymore. It was when I smoked though. The Non-Smoker me has to say rubber floor mat. When I was a Cabby, I punched two holes in the rear floorboard, and I could hose out people remains.

On my 94 9C1 I have to manually unlock it. Did it not come equipped with that or is the mechanism broken? How can I tell w/out taking off door panels?

This is the 6N1 (I believe that is right) lock module.

If it is enabled, it'll let you open the driver's door by pulling on the inside handle regardless of whether or not you have the door locked.

In other words, the Driver's door functions like most Ford or Chrysler doors :D

Without this option, you have to unlock the door first before you can open it.

I added this option to my SS about 4 years ago (couple hours work, about $50 or so in parts) and really like it. Coupled with my Buick Autolock mod (about $5, but sort of a PITA to wire) it means that my doors automatically lock when I put the car into gear, and stay locked. When I get out, I just pull on the driver's door handle and the door opens without having to manually unlock it first. Just lock it with the remote, and walk away....

Ed is correct, it is RPO 6N1. There is an article on the install on 9C1.com, under Tech. I am currently adding this to my civilian Caprice, because after driving my 6N1 equipped 9C1 all winter I am quite used to pulling the handle while the door is locked.

I love the LT1 engine, the looks and the size. i had a chance to sit in the passenger seat of a 190 mercedes, couldn't fit my head in damn mercedes. i know i should have opened up the sun roof but still, i could fly a stunt kite of the sunroof in a 9c1 and do tricks :D
i that comparing 190 to a 9c1 isn't fair, but still :D

My favorite feature about either my or my girlfriend's 9C1, is that you get a 5 or 6 seater family car, a tow car (7000lb capacity with V92 option from D-Body), and a bonafide sports car, and more, for somewhere between $3000 and $5000 dollars. I've raced SVT Lightnings, BMW M5s, SVT Cobras, Vipers, and Grand Nationals, and lost each time. But my reaction times were superior each time, and I earned the other guy's respect. I defy ANYONE to name a CAR that can do more for less. (And don't say a 1A2 wagon - that's the easy answer).
One other thing: Name a passenger car whose major crash stucture can be replaced for less than $1750 dollars, besides the Clown Vic.
I still haven't decided if I'll be buried in this car yet.
The B- and D- Bodies are, in my humble opinion, without equal.

I love the price, power, and size. I could afford an Impala SS, but then I would be stuck with no modding available. I picked up a 96 for a third of what an Impala would've cost and now have the ability to improve upon it regularly. Plus it will be paid for in a year and a half.
I also like the sleeper image it presents. Not many people are ready for a white land barge that'll leave 'em like they were standing still.
I can also say that after a couple of suspension improvements, I will also love the handling. It's not bad as it is, but the potential is just waiting to be tapped into.

I like the fact that I can tell people I drive a Police Car, and I like the look on a Mustang drivers face when I beat him.

I have a 91. On the dash right about where me right knee would hit if I flew forward, I have a switch that if I turn it on, I can put the car in park and remove the key and the car stays running. The column is locked, as is the shifter so she cant be taken, but she sits there grumbling until I turn the sitch off. I think that is the DONUT RUN option. The cops flip the sitch, get some long johns, and leave the ride running all the while. Kind of a neat little thing that the State Of Illinois left hooked up when they retired the car.

My favorite thing about my 9C1 is that before i had fixed it up like an impala I used to go to the local street races and i never got pulled over once cuz every time the cops would see me they would mistake me for an undercover...lol
Another incident that happened was that one day while driving with my freind we were messing around driving like idiots, and i ran a stop sign doing 45 (in a 25 zone) well when i ran the stop sign i saw a cop hiding behind the tree. instead of waitin for him i floored the hell out of my car and got there as fast as i could... about 5 min later i saw that the week 4.6 Crown Vic had caught up , when the officer pulled me over he said they were not sure what to do because they thought i was a LAPD undercover... so instead of giving me a ticket the officer started telling me how much he liked my car...lol
