Howdy all, im gunna put in new springs soon and figured i might as well replace the ball joints at the same time. Should I just be on the same side and order the 5/8s and 9/16 LBJs ahead of time and return the wrong ones or is there an easy way to tell prior to disassembly? I have a 95, not sure on the production date but i can look it up

thanks!

In my sig, the early one had 9/16 - the later one 5/8. If they are the original BJs if the nut is 1 1/16 across the flats you have 5/8, but if the BJ has been replaced all bets are off. Replacement BJs have all kinds of different nuts so you can't tell without sophisticated measuring. That is take the nut off and measure the threads.

These dates are from the Chevrolet build sheets. Not off the driver's door.
