Does anybody know where I could try to find ex-police cars near or around Pittsburgh? Also, is there anyway to look for certain things to see if a car has been beat to hell and back???(Other than common sense) Also, what kind of prices are normal (I want an LT-1 equipped car, definatly).

have you ever heard of Grace. theyre in PA somewhere.
GRACE <---i think thats the sight. if its not, just do a search on grace used police cars. i havent bought a car from them, i just know theyre in PA. also, if you dont mind a trip to NY, check out keymotors.com ive heard a couple good things bout them.

as for finding one that hasnt been abused...most likely if it is white and had a lightbar and spotlight it was abused. but if its DGGM (dark green) without a spotlight or lightbar, most likely it wasnt. however, these were all used police cars, so it depends on your opinion of ABUSED. a few tell tale signs (is that the expression) of a nice (unabused) 9C1 are carpet, a tape deck, a cloth back seat, no holes (except some in dash for equipment), and a semi clean interior.

also, if youre in PA lookin for a LT1 9C1, youll probably pay around 4k (maybe less, maybe more) for a nice one.

hope that helps

If you don't mind traveling, a place called American Pursuit and Performance in Columbus, Ohio has a selection of police cars from all decades. From my experience they didn't carry any beaters.
