got some extra cash (thanks ebay) and looking to perform some maintaince on my 140K mile 96 SS. Would like to do the plugs and wires this winter and was wondering what people liked for a stock motor. Also any other suggestions for maintaince? Optispark? What would I need and how hard to do? I have already replaced fuel filter, pcv, and egr. Thanks in advance guys.

Not Bosch. For plugs, either the AC Delco double platinums for '96 model cars, or similar. My brother is running a Champion double platinum plug that is very similar to the Delco's, and having good luck so far. For plugs, I have used Moroso Blue Max on every LT1 in my fleet.

Don't bother with the Opti until either it or the water pump crap out, just make sure the vent harness is working.
