This car just gets weirder the more you look at it. High bid $530 with 15 hours remaining.

It appears to have been some 'ol fart's prized pet, likely drug around to show off at meets? And curious how the stock tranny got built to take the hp'es. On a real boring day I'd set back and watch the last few hours of bidding action.

I just tried to throw a bid on it; apparently Ebay now forces you to increase your bid until you hit the reserve price. Nope.

It'd be worth buying for the engine and supercharger, swap in a stock motor and resell the car.

Think what you want about me but I think that's a beautiful auto. Yea, there's some things I'd like to not see ( i.e, tan/burgandy combination) but that car straight and mostly clean. I wish my panels and paint looked that good. Would need a magnet to check for fill but, if none, that thing looks good. (y)

Just wondering how Ebay forced you to keep bidding? I am confused since there were 18 bids and the car never hit the reserve? Just wondering if they changed something and I had not seen it yet???

I threw a bid at it just to see what would happen, and immediately got a prompt that said "your bid is under the reserve, please bid higher to get above the reserve." And it then offered me buttons with $10, $20 or $30 more than what I had bid. Since I wasn't serious, I just exited out of the page. But then, apparently my bid showed up because the total price ended up just higher than my bid? It was quite confusing.

Lets see if I can explain this even though you are right it can be confusing. You made a bid that showed up on the bid list. Someone else had placed a bid higher then you so the bid went one step higher than your bid to the higher bidder who also had bid under the reserve. You were under the reserve so they told you if you wanted to hit the reserve you would need to bid again and gave you easy options for bidding higher. It does not make you bid again? It simply informs you that you did not hit the reserve.

Exactly , if it was at 1000 but the guy that bid it to 1000 actually said 1500, every time you bid an amount less than the guys 1500 max, it will bump up just enough to keep the 1500 guy ahead.
Say the increments are $100 ,
If you say fuckit I need this and bid 7000 , the number will only go high enough to put you in front $1600.
The above unless things have changed as it has been years since I have got into a bidding war on Ebay.

I reached out to him this morning and asked him the reserve price and that was what he told me. Then I Thanked him and told him that with that many miles it was too overpriced for me. He tried to hard sell me until I told him the offer I would make would be a lot closer to the highest bid on the auction then his asking price. He then vanished when he realized I was not go to pay what he wanted. :-{

Yeah, it's going to be very tough to find a buyer at $12k when he doesn't state how many of those 303,000 miles are on the mechanical components. Nevermind the odd styling.

And... That blower is a time bomb without the supporting mods. Fuel upgrades, timing/programming, forged pistons.... Nothing mentioned, I would assume nothing done. The Vortech really looks like a last minute add on to help the sale. Or someone bought that and couldn't make it run right.... red flags all over.

Note that it has the radiator bypass hose going from the cooling tank to the top of the radiator that GM removed after issues were found. Also the radiator has a pressure cap and there is also a pressure cap on the coolant tank. There is a big pile of loose wiring next to the coolant tank. And it has COOKER (Hooker) Headers to burn all that nice wiring up. There is surely things that just do not belong but are clearly in the pictures.
