I just put in on my car in June.

All yesterday it had no spark, swapped coils nothing.

Any ideas?

I put the heatsink grease on it.

I bout it from Advanced Auto, so I dont even know the brand.

Did you remove the ICM and take back to Advanced auto for bench testing to prove it failed? How many of these ICM did you have fail?
Yeah I took it back, and tested it the other day. Guess what its fine.

So I stuck it back on...... guess what. Car runs.

So I might have a short somewhere, im realy not sure.

What else can cause that?

Probably tthe two wire short harness that runs from the coil intor the distributor has a small break in it and/or internally corroded. Feel along it for a soft spot in the wire. If the frequency of the problem doesn't change, it is most likely a wiring proble, if it continues too get steadily more frequent/worse, then a component should be suspected. The other possible hard component is the trigger, or pickup in the distributor itself
