Will a caprice hood fit on a 96 impala? it might sound like a dumb question but i dont know the answer.

Yes, there's no difference in body panels between a Caprice and Impala SS. The only thing is that the Caprice hood will have a hole for the bowtie hood ornament. It can easily be filled.

Thanks for the info i had been wondering since the grill from the impala and the caprice is so deferent.

Yeah, you definitely want to have the hole filled and paint the hood. Otherwise, the Impala is going to look like an incomplete clone.

You will need to do a tiny bit of welding & body work. Don't just slap a sticker over the hole like some lazy assed hacker.
