Has anyone tried to install an Pioneer DEH-P77DH receiver in one of our dashs. Will it go in without hacking up anything else :confused: I like the looks of it but don't want to get out the sawsall....

Yes, It Is a Direct Fit Into Your GM Dash Without Any Adaptor Plates. It's The Same Size As Your Factory Radio. All You Need Is a Harness Adaptor From The Pioneer To The GM Factory Harness And Your In Business! Alot Of The Guys On Here Have This Same Radio In There Caprice's, Wagons And SS's..........Mike

Are is that still a typical European thing?

...and to back up what B-Body Builder said you also need an antenna adapter which I found at Autozone.

I've had my DEH-P-77 installed for about a month.

Dont forget the pioner xm 901 or 903 companion xm tuner unit! Either will work, but if you get the 903, you will need to get the cable (901 comes with it). The advantage of the 903 unit is that it also comes with a mini control head that you can put in a different car. Then you can take the tuner out and change easily between your beasst and rat (or wifes car).
I have the pioneer h/u in both my bbodys. I love the crossover setups/ flexibility.

But get the x/m and thank me later.... :D
Get it cheap on ebay. I lucked out and got the second H/U for about 160 brand new! You can find the xm tuners sometimes as open box specials at best buy for $49.
