I tried to scrape some extra tint off my doors and wanted to get to the scraps rolled up all the way at the tops of all four windows...

I didn't bring any of the panels (that have a switch connected to them), but connected the driver's side switch ... no power ... tried the seat adjust: that works ... connected the passenger side switch: no power.

So do I need the inside door panels to complete a circuit or something?

Didn't check the fuses yet.

Did you turn the ignition on? Windows only work with ignition on. Seats are always hot.

For power windows to work you need to have the door side switch connected, otherwise the circuit will not be completed. 9C1 vehicles commonly had jumpers in them to prevent the back seat "passengers" from rolling the windows down but still allowing the driver to roll them down if needed. At least for the rear doors the switches are interchangeable, and the front passenger door uses the same connector so the connectors will physically fit together but I don't know if the wiring is the same, but it wouldn't surprise me. - Peter
