George i have some questions about window switches. If i get one then my tranny will last with n20? I have a Vig 3600 stall the flashes to like 4400 when floored. So if i set up the N20 to go on at 3000 then shut off how close to my 6200 rpm shift point??

Can i spray before the stall has reached max stall speed? Or do i need to turn on the window switch at 4500 then off at like 5800 that does not seem like enough nitrous help me understand window switches!

Hey Mike,

The bigger the shot, the later you should turn it on. You should set your 150 shot to turn on around 3500. When I had the 4L60E the N2O shut off at 5900 and I shifted at 6000. That 100rpm was enough of a cushion, so on yours, I would shut it off at 6100.

No matter what you do though, that 4L60E will sooner or later kick the bucket. All you can do is try to prolong it as much as you can.

With my TH400, I shift under the full 200 shot with no problems.

Once you've got the bugs worked out, based on your sig times, you should be able to run an 11.6 @ 119, according to my calculator

hey Mike,

You have to remember how long the N2O is on. With shut-offs between shift, you won't be spraying more than 9 seconds, probably a bit less, so your average N2O HP will drop by 25%. If you sprayed from the get-go and never shut off, you might reach an 11.4 and maybe 121 or so.

Believe me, there is a BIG difference between 11.6 and 12.3!!! Of course, I could be wrong on this and you could do much better. Only one way to find out

Spraying between shifts is one of the reasons I got the TH400. Also I spray a 200 shot in 2 stages. That makes a difference.

Boy, this is almost like talking on the phone!!

With a 2 stage, you can shoot the 1st stage earlier and get off the line better.

You should set it up like mine. 75 shot right off the line, then 125 shot after a 1 second delay (I have a timer).

I just got this set-up going like this recently and my first time at the track with it I got a new best. I believe I can get an 11.6 and maybe 120 on a cold day.

My NA run was 107mph, so if you're still at 110.x, you've got around 40hp on me. If you did the exact same set as mine, you should run 122mph. Of course the ET will depend on your 60' times. Mine aren't too good (1.72), so your ET should be 5 tenths better than mine, around 11.25.

George,

hey Noel,

It's one I created out of Visual Basic.

By the way, have you ever been in Florida? I remember seeing a car with what looked like 19 or 20" rims a few years back at a car show and the owner's name was Noel.

ahh... VB

I have been to Florida (Jacksonville, Orlando to Miami, Key West and Marco Island, all driving  ) but solely for vacation. Never took the SS out there. Do you mean to tell me that there's another Noel out there that also owns an SS. That would be 3 then. There's a Noel (pronouned "Nole" - I pronounce mine "No-el" like the x-mas song
) in our SoCalSS club. I fell on the floor when I found out. I hardly run into anybody named Noel, much less owning an SS.
